DDA Holds First High-Level Consultation Meeting with MPs and MLAs on Implementation of Master Plan Delhi 2047 on Tuesday


New Delhi, 02 September (H.S.): The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) held its first high-level consultation meeting with key stakeholders, including Members of Parliament and legislators,to expedite the implementation of the ‘Master Plan Delhi-2047’. BJP MPs Manoj Tiwari, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Praveen Khandelwal and other public representatives participated in the meeting.

DDA Vice Chairman N. Saravanan Kumar presented the key provisions of Master Plan Delhi-2047 and the framework for its implementation. In a post on social media platform X on Wednesday, he said that the Master Plan Delhi-2047 places particular emphasis on Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), High-Density Corridors (HDCs), land pooling and low-density areas. This was followed by a detailed discussion with the elected representatives, who shared their suggestions during the meeting.

Saravanan Kumar said the consultation marked an important step towards translating the vision of Master Plan Delhi-2047 into reality, which would be achieved through continuous engagement with stakeholders and coordinated implementation. He said that as Delhi moves towards becoming a developed city, it would contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

It may be noted that on August 12, the DDA Board approved Master Plan Delhi-2047 under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu. On August 20, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar formally launched the plan in the presence of the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
