Tiruchirappalli, September 2 (H.S.): The BJP will take its “25 Years of Modi Ji’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” to the grassroots, with party workers being asked to identify beneficiaries, meet families and document local success stories, senior party leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said on Wednesday.

Addressing a preparatory meeting for the campaign in Tiruchirappalli, Sudhakar Reddy, BJP national co-in-charge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, called for the programme to be developed into a people-oriented campaign rather than being confined to party-level activities.

He asked party workers at the booth and mandal levels to personally interact with families, identify genuine beneficiaries and understand issues that remain unresolved at the local level. He also urged them to document success stories emerging from different areas as part of the campaign.

The BJP leader outlined the organisational approach for the campaign as “Seva, Sampark, Samvad and Sankalp”, focusing on service, public contact, dialogue and commitment.

The meeting was organised as part of preparations for marking 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public service. Sudhakar Reddy said the campaign should also highlight Tamil Nadu's cultural and civilisational contributions and their place in the broader national narrative.

He referred to initiatives and events including the Sengol in the new Parliament, Kashi Tamil Sangamam and Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam, besides celebrations associated with Rajendra Chola I and Gangaikonda Cholapuram. He also referred to continued support for institutions associated with Classical Tamil.

On development, Sudhakar Reddy highlighted infrastructure projects in Tamil Nadu, including the new terminal at Tiruchirappalli International Airport, railway and road connectivity improvements and the new Pamban Rail Bridge.

He said development and cultural identity should move together and called upon party workers to present an integrated account of Tamil Nadu's progress rather than focusing only on individual schemes.

The preparatory meeting was presided over by BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran. Andhra Pradesh Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Satya Kumar Yadav attended as chief guest, while BJP Tamil Nadu in-charge Arvind Menon and several party leaders and functionaries were also present.

Sudhakar Reddy said the campaign's objective was to carry its message beyond party meetings and into villages, families and beneficiary communities.
