Prayagraj, 19 Sept (HS): With the objective to upholding
constitutional values and strengthening the political participation of the
minority community, Imran Pratapgarhi, Chairman of the All India Congress
Committee (AICC) Minority Department and Member of Parliament, has announced
the formation of the long-awaited State Advisory Council of the Uttar Pradesh
Congress Committee Minority Department.
The council has been constituted under the guidance of Uttar
Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai and includes several senior
leaders and social representatives, including former Union Minister Salman
Khurshid, MP Imran Masood, former Union Minister Pradeep Jain Aditya, former MP
Zafar Ali Naqvi, former MP Begum Noor Bano, former MP Imran Kidwai, Hafiz
Mohammad Umar, Fuzail Hashmi and several others.

Congress Committee and a member of the newly constituted State Advisory
Council, Fuzail Hashmi said that the council would provide political guidance,
organisational support and political inputs to the Minority Department of the
Congress in Uttar Pradesh. He said the council would work towards strengthening
structured dialogue with the minority community and promoting issues related to
social justice, constitutional values and inclusive political participation.
He further informed that from Prayagraj, National Secretary
of the Minority Department, Parvez Akhtar Ansari and City President of the
department, Arshad Ali have also been included in the State Advisory Council. Hashmi
expressed his special gratitude to MP Imran Pratapgarhi and former MLA Sohel
Ansari, President of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Minority Department, for
including him in the State Advisory Council and entrusting him with the new
responsibility.
