Guwahati, 19 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said Assam Police had foiled an attempted infiltration into India along the state’s Bangladesh border.

In a social media post, Sarma said 10 people allegedly attempted to enter India with the intention of disturbing social harmony, but were intercepted by the police before they could proceed further.

Referring to the recent film Dhurandhar, the Chief Minister described the suspected infiltrators as “10 First Copy of Dhurandhars” and said Assam Police acted promptly to prevent what he termed a “misadventure” along the border.

Sarma said the state’s police force remained alert and asserted that Assam would not compromise on issues concerning the identity and existence of its indigenous population.

“10 Ka Dum,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the state would remain vigilant at all times.------------
