Ahmedabad, 19 September (H.S.): The Adani Group has renewed its partnership with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) as its principal sponsor, reaffirming its long-term commitment to Indian sport and to athletes representing the country at the highest level.

The partnership continued through the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026, where India finished fourth in the medal standings with a total of 39 medals, including 13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze. The renewed partnership with the IOA will continue through the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, scheduled to be held from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Limited, said in a statement that Indian athletes continue to bring pride to the country on the global stage. “We are pleased to renew our partnership with the Indian Olympic Association. With Ahmedabad set to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, this is an important time to build a strong sporting ecosystem and inspire more young people to pursue sports. Through our ‘Garv Hai’ initiative, we remain committed to supporting India’s sporting talent and helping our athletes realise their full potential,” he said.

Indian Olympic Association President Dr P.T. Usha said India’s performance at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games reflected the talent and growing strength of the country’s athletes. “We are grateful to the Adani Group for continuing its partnership with the Indian Olympic Association. With the Asian Games and the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad on the horizon, such support will be crucial in helping our athletes prepare better and deliver their best performances. As Indian sport continues to progress, we look forward to carrying this partnership forward,” she said.

Over the years, the Adani Group has developed a comprehensive sporting ecosystem encompassing grassroots sports development, athlete support, community engagement and professional sports. Through its ‘Garv Hai’ initiative, the Group has supported emerging Indian athletes in their pursuit of success at both national and international levels.
