Bhubaneswar, 18 September (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed pride over NIT Rourkela’s indigenous chip designs being showcased among Made-in-India semiconductor chips at SEMICON India, highlighting the state’s growing contribution to India’s technology and semiconductor sector.

Majhi congratulated the scientists, researchers and the entire NIT Rourkela team, saying their work reflects the talent, innovation and research capabilities of Odisha’s institutions.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister said the presence of NIT Rourkela’s chip designs at the event was a matter of immense pride for every Odia. He said the state’s academic and research institutions are playing an important role in advancing India’s technological capabilities.

Majhi said India is steadily moving towards a strong and self-reliant semiconductor ecosystem under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and through the dedicated efforts of Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw.

He noted that NIT Rourkela’s research demonstrates how institutions from Odisha are contributing to the country’s semiconductor ambitions. He also congratulated the researchers and scientists involved in the chip designs for their contribution to India’s technological development.

The Chief Minister said Odisha is proud to see its talent contributing to India’s semiconductor journey and the nation’s efforts towards technological self-reliance.
