
New Delhi, 18 September (H.S.): United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi by phone on Friday. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and coordination to promote peace, security and stability in West Asia.
In a post on X, PM Modi said the UAE President conveyed his warm birthday greetings to him. The two leaders also discussed new measures to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and the UAE. During the conversation, they reviewed ways to advance bilateral cooperation across several areas, including energy, defence, technology, investment and healthcare.
The UAE President also congratulated Prime Minister Modi on India’s successful BRICS presidency. Modi expressed his appreciation for the participation of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the BRICS Summit, as well as the UAE’s support and partnership in helping achieve substantive outcomes at the summit under India’s presidency.
The two leaders also exchanged views on developments in West Asia and reiterated their commitment to sustained cooperation and coordination to promote peace, security and stability in the region.
