
Moradabad, 18 Sept (HS): On Friday, a 28-year-old candidate
from Bareilly collapsed during a Home Guard recruitment race being held at the
9th Battalion PAC grounds in the Civil Lines area of Moradabad district,
Uttar Pradesh. Police officers present rushed the unconscious man to the
district hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Civil Lines Police Station Inspector Harshvardhan Singh said
that Shivam Yadav, son of Vinod Yadav, a resident of Maninath Colony, Rajpur
Kala, Bareilly district, had applied for the Home Guard recruitment exam. On
Friday morning, he came to participate in the Home Guard recruitment race being
held at the 9th Battalion PAC ground. Around 8 a.m., while running, Shivam
suddenly fainted and collapsed. Police personnel present at the recruitment
process immediately rushed Shivam to the district hospital. Doctors declared
him dead at the hospital.
According to information received, the deceased candidate,
Shivam, had completed his B.Tech and was preparing for competitive exams while
also coaching children at home. He is survived by his wife, Komal, and a
three-year-old daughter. Inspector Civil Lines stated that further action is
being taken, informing Shivam's family.
