Governor, CM Pay Tribute to ‘Gadjat Gandhi’ Sarangadhar Das on Death Anniversary

Bhubaneswar, 18 September (H.S.) : Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi paid tribute to renowned freedom fighter Sarangadhar Das, popularly known as the ‘Gadjat Gandhi’, on his death anniversary, recalling his contributions to society and public service.

In a social media post, Governor Kambhampati described Sarangadhar Das as an exceptional symbol of service, dedication and sacrifice. He said Das’s committed contribution to society and the nation, along with his exemplary life, would continue to remain a source of inspiration.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also paid his respects to the noted freedom fighter, remembering his valuable contribution to social awareness and public service. He said Das’s dedication to the welfare of the people would always be remembered.

Sarangadhar Das is remembered for his role in the freedom movement and his efforts towards social reform and public welfare. His life and work have continued to hold significance in Odisha’s history of social and political transformation.
