Bhubaneswar, 18 September (H.S.): The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has opened the online application process for the allotment of 496 apartments under its Ekamra Residency housing project at Subudhipur. Interested applicants can submit their applications online until October 31.

Spread over approximately 7.34 acres, Ekamra Residency has been planned as a modern residential project offering 2BHK and 2BHK-plus-study apartments. The development includes a range of facilities and amenities intended to provide residents with a comfortable and convenient living environment.

The residential complex features covered parking, a community centre, gymnasium, rooftop swimming pool, security arrangements, lifts, power backup and organised common areas. The project also has connectivity to major city roads and transport links, with educational institutions, healthcare facilities and other key destinations located within accessible distance.

Under the current scheme, BDA has invited applications for 496 apartments in two blocks. The allotment comprises 288 two-bedroom-plus-study apartments and 208 two-bedroom apartments.

The apartments will be allotted through a lottery system among eligible applicants. BDA Vice-Chairman Chanchal Rana said the authority has invited applications for the 496 apartments and urged interested applicants to submit their forms online within the stipulated period.

Applicants are required to create a Unique Account Number (UAN), which is mandatory for transactions through the BDA Property Allotment System. During UAN registration, applicants must provide valid proof of their date of birth and address.

The online system will allow applicants to complete and track different stages of the allotment process, including application submission, scrutiny, lottery, provisional allotment and online payment.

Applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs 10,000 along with their application. They must also deposit Rs 2 lakh as an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

The digital application system is intended to provide applicants with access to the allotment process through an online platform, from submission and scrutiny to lottery and provisional allotment.

BDA has advised prospective applicants to go through the detailed terms and conditions and the Ekamra Residency brochure before submitting their applications.

The application process will remain open until October 31. Detailed information regarding the project, eligibility criteria, application procedure, payment requirements and the brochure is available on the official BDA website, bda.gov.in.
