
Actress Alia Bhatt and actor Ranbir Kapoor have pledged their support for social initiatives on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday. Alia shared a post on social media announcing that she and her husband, Ranbir, will support the transformation of 20 schools in Mumbai under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. The actress shared details of the initiative on September 17 while extending birthday wishes to the Prime Minister.
In her post, Alia said the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ reflects the spirit of collective effort and a commitment to fulfilling one’s responsibility towards society. She said that, as part of the initiative, she and Ranbir have pledged to support the transformation of 20 schools. According to the actress, the initiative will help create better educational facilities and more conducive learning environments for children.
Alia said the improvement plans for the schools will be developed on the basis of recommendations received at the local level. The objective is to provide children with better-equipped and more convenient spaces where they can pursue their education and work towards a brighter future.
Launched on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ will continue until October 17. The campaign will include activities related to public service and public participation, along with blood donation drives, cleanliness initiatives and other social welfare programmes.
