Patna, 18 September (H.S.): Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Air Command, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to Bihar Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain at Raj Bhavan in Patna. The meeting covered several important issues, including strengthening civil-military cooperation, improving coordination between the Indian Air Force and the Bihar government, and the proposed joint use of Bihta Airport in the future.

During the meeting, Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry briefed the Governor on the progress made on various matters of mutual importance being pursued in coordination with the state administration. The discussions also focused on strengthening preparedness for swift response and relief operations during disasters, besides advancing shared objectives related to regional security and public welfare.

The proposed future joint use of Bihta Airport was also discussed in detail. The two sides deliberated on measures to further strengthen disaster-response mechanisms and ensure more effective coordination between military and civilian institutions whenever required.

Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry also invited the Governor to visit Air Force Station Bihta.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the existing coordination between the Indian Air Force and the Bihar government and to further strengthening institutional cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
