Dehradun, 17 September (H.S.): Indian and US Army personnel conducted joint training in counter-terrorism operations during Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026, currently underway in Auli, Uttarakhand. As part of the exercise, troops from both armies practised building clearance and room intervention drills.

Keeping scenarios resembling close-quarter combat in mind, assault teams demonstrated operations with the assistance of drones, robotic dogs, dog squads and snipers. The drills showcased the ability of trained personnel to coordinate effectively with modern technology during counter-terrorism operations.

US Army personnel interacted with the Indian soldiers participating in the exercise and observed various pieces of equipment. They also familiarised themselves with the capabilities and techniques demonstrated during the drills.

The joint training also facilitated the exchange of professional knowledge and operational experience between the two armies. According to officials, such exercises help strengthen strategic understanding, mutual coordination and the ability of the two forces to operate together effectively.
