New Delhi, 17 September (H.S.): A pictorial exhibition based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was inaugurated at the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya on Thursday by Nripendra Misra, who had served as the Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary.

The exhibition was organised on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Ashwani Lohani, Director of the museum, was also present on the occasion.

Describing the exhibition as a special initiative, Nripendra Misra recalled the period after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister in 2014. He said that at the time, the Prime Minister was looking for a way to communicate directly with the people and reach out to every section of society.

During his interactions with the Prime Minister during that period, the idea was discussed that a President in the United States had regularly used radio as a means of communicating with the public. The concept subsequently became part of the broader effort to establish a direct channel of communication with citizens.

It may be noted that Prime Minister Modi’s birthday is being observed as ‘Seva Diwas: 25 Years of Public Service’. The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya also commemorates the birth anniversaries and birthdays of all former Prime Ministers of India, with their family members being invited to participate in such occasions.
