(HS): Satish Salian, father of Disha Salian has served defamation notice to MLA
Ditya Thackeray and former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Disha Salian, former
Manager of Bollywood actor Sushan Sinh Rajput, was found dead. Satish Salian,
in his defamation noticte has demanded unconditional apology within seven days through
electronic and print media or pay compensation of Rs 500 crore.
In case of
failure proceedings under Section 356 of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) will be
initiated, the notice said.
Aditya Thackeray
had called the effort of Satish Salian seeking justice for her daughter as
politically motivated.
The claim of
clean chit granted to Aditya Thackeray by CBI projected on September 2 is false,
the Bombay High Court has clarified. CBI has not conducted any enquiry earlier,
the court clarified. Satish Salian, in his notice, said that the claim was
misleading and purposeful to defame him.
The High Court
directed enquiry through CBI by registering fresh FIR. The CBI registered new
FIR on 13th September, 2026, giving the case a new twist. Renowned police
officer SP Seema Pahuja is heading the enquiry into the Disha Salian death
case.
Anil Deshmukh,
on 23 March, 2025 has publicly claimed that Disha Salian case projection is
politically motivated to defame Aditya Thackeray. Satish Salian, who is
fighting for justice to his deceased daughter, has been called suspicious by
Deshmukh and had raised doubts about her character. Satish Salian, in his
notice, has mentioned all these statements and supported his claims by some
audio-visual evidence.
