Guwahati, 16 September (HS): The first death anniversary of Assam’s beloved artiste Zubeen Garg will be observed with a three-day commemorative programme at Zubeen Khetra in Sonapur from September 17 to 19.

The programme, organised by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Assam, in collaboration with Kalaguru Artists Foundation, will begin on September 17. A multi-faith prayer meeting will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, followed by naam prasanga from 1 pm.

On September 18, Zubeen Garg will be remembered through a special musical programme featuring songs and performances. The concluding day on September 19 will begin with Bhagwat recitation, while a Bhaona performance will be organised in the evening.

The three-day programme has been planned to pay tribute to the late artiste and remember his contribution to Assam’s cultural and musical landscape.------------
