Kolkata, 16 September (H.S.): Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari has appealed to people across the state to light ‘Lamps of Blessings’ on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and pray for his good health and long life.

In a video message on Wednesday morning, Adhikari said the Prime Minister’s birthday would be observed by recalling his 25-year journey of public and national service. He said Modi’s journey in public life, from taking oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat to serving as the Prime Minister of the country, would complete 25 years on October 7.

To commemorate the occasion, Adhikari announced the launch of a ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. As part of the campaign, he called upon people across West Bengal to light ‘Lamps of Blessings’ on the Prime Minister’s birthday and pray to the Almighty for Modi’s good health and longevity.

Adhikari said the prayers would be aimed at wishing the Prime Minister continued strength and good health so that he could remain dedicated to serving the nation in the years ahead.

He appealed to the people of West Bengal to participate in the campaign on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday.
