
Darrang (Assam), 16 September (HS): Six suspected dacoits were arrested by police while allegedly planning a robbery in Darrang district’s Dalgaon area, officials said. The arrests were made during a police operation after the suspected group was reportedly found preparing to carry out the crime.
Police also recovered arms and other materials from the possession of the six accused during the operation. The arrested persons have been taken into custody for interrogation as police investigate their alleged involvement in the planned robbery and ascertain whether they were linked to any previous criminal activities in the area.
Further investigation is underway to establish the identity and roles of all six accused and determine the circumstances leading to the planned crime. Police are also examining the recovered weapons and other seized items as part of the investigation.------------
