
Nagaon (Assam), 16 September (HS): Congress candidate Shivamoni Bora on Wednesday said he was deeply overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and encouragement shown by people as she arrived to file his nomination papers for the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election.
Speaking to reporters during the nomination filing process, Bora said the response from the public had made the occasion particularly meaningful for him. He expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm displayed by the people who gathered during her nomination programme.
“Today, I am overwhelmed after seeing the enthusiasm and excitement of the people who came for my nomination filing. I am deeply moved; it is truly a beautiful moment for me,” Bora said.
The Congress candidate said the public response had made the day emotionally significant and memorable. Her nomination filing comes ahead of the October 6 by-election to the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency. Counting of votes is scheduled for October 9.-----------
