New Delhi, 16 September (H.S.): In view of the upcoming festive season, passenger convenience and the anticipated additional rush at trains and railway stations, Northern Railway will operate five pairs of major Festival Special trains. In addition, the operating period and number of trips of the New Delhi–Danapur–New Delhi Superfast Special Express have also been extended.

According to Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, special train services will be operated between New Delhi–Howrah, Anand Vihar Terminal–Bhagalpur, Yog Nagari Rishikesh–Kolkata, Amritsar–Kolkata and Amritsar–Barauni in view of the increased festive-season demand.

Train No. 04052/04051 New Delhi–Howrah Junction–New Delhi will be operated as a reserved weekly special train. Train No. 04052 will depart from New Delhi at 18:15 hours every Friday from October 2 to November 27, 2026, and arrive at Howrah at 23:40 hours the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 04051 will depart from Howrah at 01:40 hours every Sunday from October 4 to November 29 and reach New Delhi at 08:20 hours the following morning. The train will make nine trips in each direction. It will halt at Ghaziabad, Aligarh Junction, Tundla, Govindpuri, Subedarganj, Mirzapur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, Ara, Patna Junction, Bakhtiyarpur, Kiul, Jhajha, Jasidih, Madhupur, Chittaranjan, Asansol, Durgapur, Barddhaman and Bandel stations.

Train No. 04062/04061 Anand Vihar Terminal–Bhagalpur–Anand Vihar Terminal will operate as a reserved daily special train. Train No. 04062 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 12:00 hours every day from October 10 to November 25, 2026, and reach Bhagalpur at 13:30 hours the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 04061 will depart from Bhagalpur at 16:30 hours daily from October 11 to November 26, 2026, and arrive at Anand Vihar Terminal at 20:00 hours the following day. The train will make 47 trips in each direction. En route, it will halt at Aligarh, Tundla, Govindpuri, Subedarganj, Mirzapur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Bhabua Road, Sasaram, Dehri-on-Sone, Anugraha Narayan Road, Gaya Junction, Tilaia, Nawada, Warisli Ganj, Sheikhpura, Kiul, Abhaypur, Jamalpur and Sultanganj stations.

Train No. 04312/04311 Yog Nagari Rishikesh–Kolkata–Yog Nagari Rishikesh will operate as a reserved weekly special train. Train No. 04312 will depart from Yog Nagari Rishikesh at 22:20 hours every Friday from October 16 to November 20, 2026, and reach Kolkata at 08:00 hours on Sunday. In the return direction, Train No. 04311 will depart from Kolkata at 13:55 hours every Sunday from October 18 to November 22, 2026, and arrive at Yog Nagari Rishikesh at 23:30 hours on Monday. The train will make six trips in each direction. It will halt at Haridwar, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Alamnagar, Transport Nagar, Utraitia, Rae Bareli, Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh, Varanasi, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Bhabua Road, Sasaram, Dehri-on-Sone, Anugraha Narayan Road, Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribagh Road, Parasnath, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Junction Gomoh, Dhanbad, Asansol, Durgapur, Barddhaman, Bandel and Naihati Junction stations.

Train No. 04624/04623 Amritsar–Kolkata–Amritsar will be operated as a reserved weekly special train. Train No. 04624 will depart from Amritsar at 20:10 hours every Wednesday from October 7 to November 25, 2026, and arrive at Kolkata at 15:00 hours on Friday. In the return direction, Train No. 04623 will depart from Kolkata at 04:45 hours every Saturday from October 10 to November 28, 2026, and reach Amritsar at 21:05 hours on Sunday. The train will make eight trips in each direction. It will halt at Beas, Jalandhar City, Phagwara, Dhandari Kalan, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Sagauli, Bapudham Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Barauni, Kiul, Jhajha, Jasidih, Madhupur, Chittaranjan, Asansol, Durgapur and Barddhaman stations.

Train No. 04668/04667 Amritsar Junction–Barauni Junction–Amritsar Junction will operate as a reserved weekly special train. Train No. 04668 will depart from Amritsar at 20:10 hours every Sunday from October 4 to November 29, 2026, and reach Barauni at 02:10 hours on Tuesday. In the return direction, Train No. 04667 will depart from Barauni at 05:05 hours every Tuesday from October 6 to December 1, 2026, and arrive at Amritsar at 13:50 hours on Wednesday. The train will make nine trips in each direction. En route, it will halt at Beas, Jalandhar City, Phagwara, Dhandari Kalan, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Alamnagar, Transport Nagar, Rae Bareli, Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Ghazipur City, Ballia, Chhapra, Sonpur, Hajipur and Shahpur Patori stations.

In addition, Northern Railway has decided to extend the number of trips of the reserved New Delhi–Danapur–New Delhi Superfast Special Express, Train No. 04090/04089. Train No. 04090 will make a total of eight trips from New Delhi every Friday from October 2 to November 20, 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 04089 will operate for a total of eight trips from Danapur every Saturday from October 3 to November 21, 2026.
