Gadchiroli, 16 Sept (HS): Gadchiroli District Civil

Surgeon Dr Varsha Shivaji Lahade has been suspended on Wednesday, and departmental

enquiry against her has been initiated. Dr Lahade has been charged with negligence

and dereliction of supervisory duties. The charges are of very serious nature.

The suspension order issued by Health Department zOfficer in the name of the

Governor of Maharashtra.

During suspension Dr Lahade will work at Gondia

District General Hospital and will not leave headquarters without permission of

the authority. She will not be able to undertake private job or business and

industry during the period of her suspension and she will be paid subsistence allowance,

and other allowances as admissible as per rules.
