Guwahati, 16 September (HS): Four armed robbers allegedly entered a residence at Saukuchi in Guwahati wearing black clothes and carrying sharp weapons before tying up the occupants and looting cash and valuables. According to the householder, the robbers woke him up while he was sleeping and tied his hands and face. They allegedly warned his wife not to raise an alarm during the incident.

The robbers reportedly took away the woman’s earrings and chain, besides the householder’s ring. The incident has caused concern among residents of the area. Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects. Further details regarding the value of the stolen cash and jewellery and the circumstances surrounding the robbery are awaited.----------
