Kolkata, September 16 (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has appealed to people across the state to light ‘blessing lamps’ on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and pray for his good health and long life.

In a video message on Wednesday morning, Adhikari said Prime Minister Modi’s birthday would be observed in a special manner, while his 25-year journey of public and national service would also be commemorated. He said Modi’s journey from taking oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat to serving as the Prime Minister of the country would complete 25 years on October 7.

To mark the occasion, Adhikari announced the launch of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. He appealed to people across West Bengal to light ‘blessing lamps’ on the Prime Minister’s birthday and pray to the Almighty for Modi’s good health and long life so that he could continue dedicating himself to the service of the nation in the years ahead.

Adhikari urged the people of the state to participate in the campaign and make the Prime Minister’s birthday a memorable occasion.
