Prayagraj, 16 Sept (HS): 15 UP Battalion NCC, Prayagraj

organised a conference of Principals, Registrars and Directors of institutions

affiliated with NCC Companies and Troops with the objective of strengthening

institutional coordination, support and participation in NCC activities.

Battalion NCC, interacted with the heads of institutions and emphasised that

strong institutional ownership, effective enrolment, quality training and

active involvement of Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) are essential for the

successful functioning of NCC and the holistic development of cadets.

Highlighting the tangible impact of NCC training, the

Commanding Officer informed the gathering that 72 NCC cadets of 15 UP Battalion

have been selected as Agniveers in all three Services, while three cadets have

been selected as Officers in the Indian Army. She stated that these

achievements demonstrate the value of structured NCC training, discipline,

leadership, confidence and sustained institutional support.

The conference reviewed various important aspects of cadet

enrolment, training, ANO involvement, participation in NCC activities,

institutional infrastructure and availability of resources. Discussions also

focused on ensuring greater participation of cadets in camps, training

activities, competitions and other opportunities provided through NCC.

Col Ritu Srivastava Rawat called upon all Principals,

Registrars and Directors to extend proactive and continuous support to NCC

units functioning in their institutions and to provide cadets with maximum

opportunities for training, exposure, leadership development and personality

development.

She emphasised that NCC is not merely an extracurricular

activity but an important platform for developing disciplined, confident,

responsible and service-oriented youth, while preparing them to take up

leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to the nation. The conference

concluded with a commitment from the participating institutional heads towards

strengthening NCC activities and creating a more supportive environment for the

overall development and future success of NCC cadets, informed Wg Cdr Debartho
