Actor Sooraj Pancholi has responded after his name surfaced in connection with the death of late actor and Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Disha Salian. According to reports, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against 17 people in connection with Disha Salian’s death in 2020, with Sooraj Pancholi’s name also reportedly included. The actor has now taken to social media to deny having any connection with the case.
In his Instagram Story, Sooraj said he had never met Disha Salian, either directly or indirectly, at any point in his life. He also clarified that he had never met Aditya Thackeray. The actor said that for several years, his name had been linked to the case without any evidence. He stated that the police and the CBI had recorded his statement around four to five years ago. Sooraj said he had nothing to hide.
The actor further said that he had remained silent on the matter for a long time, but would no longer accept his name being repeatedly linked to an incident with which he had no connection. He said that if the investigating agency wanted to question him again, he was fully prepared to cooperate.
Sooraj also appealed to people to verify the facts before forming opinions about anyone associated with the case. According to reports, the FIR is said to name 17 people, including Aditya Thackeray, Dino Morea and Rhea Chakraborty.
