Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has put an end to speculation surrounding the release of his much-awaited film ‘King’. After delivering three consecutive successful films — ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’ — in 2023, Shah Rukh has been away from the big screen. His fans have therefore been eagerly awaiting ‘King’. In recent days, reports had surfaced on social media suggesting that the film’s release might be postponed. However, the actor himself has now clarified that the film will hit theatres as scheduled.
Shah Rukh answered questions from fans during an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on his X account. When a fan asked for an update on the film’s trailer and release, the actor responded in his trademark witty style, saying that viewers should now simply watch the film itself. He said he was not deliberately keeping audiences waiting, but was focused on creating an exceptional film that would provide them with complete entertainment. Shah Rukh assured fans that all information related to the film would be revealed before December 24.
The actor also revealed that he had sustained several injuries while shooting for ‘King’, which forced production to be halted for some time. However, he is now fully recovered and the film is in its final stages of production. According to Shah Rukh, the film features high-octane action, impressive music and a strong ensemble cast. ‘King’ is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24, 2026, and will feature Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji, among several other actors.
