New Delhi, September 15 (H.S.). Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed grief over the loss of lives caused by the devastating floods in Bihar. While extending their condolences to the bereaved families, they urged the government to expedite relief and rescue operations.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, in a post on the social media platform X, described the loss of lives in the Bihar floods as extremely tragic and heartbreaking. Expressing his deep condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the disaster, he said he stood in solidarity with everyone affected by the tragedy. He also appealed to Congress workers to come forward and extend all possible assistance to the affected people.

Rahul Gandhi urged the government and administration to conduct relief and rescue operations with utmost urgency and ensure that essential assistance reaches affected families at the earliest.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge described the loss of lives in the Bihar floods as deeply distressing. Expressing his condolences to the bereaved families, he said that nearly 5 million people across 15 districts had been affected by the floods, with normal life disrupted in thousands of villages.

Kharge said that, in this hour of crisis, the government’s priority should be to ensure that relief and assistance reach every affected family. He urged the government and administration to leave no stone unturned in relief, rescue, medical assistance and rehabilitation efforts, and to ensure that aid reaches affected families without delay.

The Congress president also called upon all party workers to reach the affected areas and extend every possible assistance to the people. He said the entire country stood with Bihar during this difficult time.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed grief over the devastation caused by the severe floods in Bihar. She said that millions of people across the state had been affected by the floods and that there had been significant loss of both life and property. She prayed for the peace of the departed souls and expressed her deepest condolences to the bereaved families.

Priyanka Gandhi urged the government to accelerate relief and rescue operations so that assistance could reach the affected people as quickly as possible.
