
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. 15 Sept (HS): The proposed agitation for
Maratha Reservation at Azad Maidan, Mumbai, has again been denied permission.
On behalf of Jarange the permission was sought on Sunday for the third time. In
the application permission for agitation by 50 people was sought.
The application also mentions that all the rules set for the agitation
on September 18 will be followed. Jarange has planned to move the court on
Tuesday, if the permission is denied again. During his agitation last year, people
of South Mumbai faced great inconvenience as about 5,000 vehicles were parked illegally.
With the Ganesh Utsav in progress heavy crowd move through the streets during
the festival. Police face many difficulties in managing the traffic flow. Local
administration has argued possibility of law and order situation because of
Jarange’s agitation.
Security: Meanwhile, security
of Manoj Jarange has been beefed up at Amtarwali Sarati and his plan to move
towards Mumbai. A police officer and a constable will continuously remain with
Jarange. Security at Mumbai has also been tightened to prevent any untoward
incident.
