New Delhi, 15 September (H.S.): Doordarshan celebrated its 67th Foundation Day with an evening of music, dance and entertainment at Doordarshan Bhawan, Copernicus Marg, Mandi House, New Delhi.

The celebrations, themed Doordarshan@67 - Kal Bhi Apna, Aaj Bhi Apna, marked the public service broadcaster's journey of more than six decades and its enduring connect with generations of Indians.

The evening featured a special musical performance by renowned singer Jyoti Nooran, who enthralled the audience with her rendition. A fusion dance presentation titled 'Rhythm Without Borders' by Shikha Khare and her group was also part of the celebrations.

The programme also featured an interaction with prominent artists associated with Doordarshan's upcoming television serials 'Sanskar' and 'Suraag 2.0'. The participating artists included K. C. Bokadia, Mahesh Thakur, Aman Verma, Darshan Jariwala, Pankaj Berry, Sudesh Berry, Sai Ketan Rao, Jigyasa Singh and Rehan Shahrukh Mirzabeig.

The celebrations were hosted by Namitaa Sachdeva and Ali Asgar, who engaged the audience through the evening while highlighting Doordarshan's legacy and continuing relevance in India's evolving media landscape.

For more than six decades, Doordarshan has remained an integral part of India's social and cultural fabric. From establishing itself as a household presence across generations to adopting new platforms and technologies, the broadcaster has continued to evolve while retaining its identity and public service mandate.
