Mumbai, 15 Sept (HS):

Out of 13 demands of Manoj Jarange relating to reservation for Maratha

community, and issuing them Kunbi caste certificates, 12 have been accepted by

the State Government. One demand is under legal scrutiny, Chief Minister

Devendra Fadnavis said in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Fadnavis said

going against court will ultimately harm Maratha community. Jarange has been

made aware of the facts. Jarange is expected to take a decision about his

agitation, and should not affect people of Mumbai during the festival season.

Besides inconvenience to common people in Mumbai, the difficulties are also

related to possibility of rains, CET, MPSC examinations etc.

Manoj Jarange

has started his journey from Antarwali Sarati towards Mumbai on Tuesday.

Fadnavis was

addressing the media after Cabinet meeting in Mumbai. He said Jarange has right

to undertake agitation. His demands have been accepted and care is being taken to

prevent any legal problems.

Possibility of Drought: The ministers during the Cabinet meeting discussed

the break in rains for a long period and possibility of its effect on the

agriculture sector.

The NDRF

(National Disaster Response Force) will start a survey from October 5, relating

to possibility of drought and its intensity in different parts of the state.

SIT on CET issue: A Special Investigation Team has been constituted to

enquire about complaints of the students who appeared for the CET.

Simultaneously Forensic Audit will also be conducted. A criminal cases will be

filed against those found guilty, Fadnavis said.

Disha Salian

Case: In Disha Salian death case CBI has started investigation and has

registered FIR. He, however, declined to comment on it and said he has not seen

the FIR.
