The teaser of South Indian actress Nayanthara’s much-awaited film ‘Mahashakti’ has been released. Directed by Sundar C., the film features Nayanthara once again in her popular role as ‘Mookuthi Amman’. Her portrayal of the character in the 2020 film ‘Mookuthi Amman’ was widely appreciated by audiences. Her return as the beloved character has now heightened anticipation for the upcoming film. The teaser showcases grand visuals, lavishly constructed sets and an atmosphere steeped in mystery.

‘Mahashakti’ is produced by Dr Eshari K. Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International, in association with Avni Media, IVY Entertainment and Rowdy Pictures. Alongside Nayanthara, the film features Regina Cassandra, Yogi Babu and Urvashi in key roles, among several other actors. The teaser presents Nayanthara in a powerful and distinctly different avatar. Director Sundar C. has sought to expand the world of ‘Mookuthi Amman’ on a much larger scale this time.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in November 2026 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. AA Films will handle the film’s distribution in North India. Given the return of Nayanthara’s popular character and the film’s grand scale, ‘Mahashakti’ has generated considerable anticipation not only among audiences of South Indian cinema but also among Hindi-speaking viewers.
