New Delhi, 14 September (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin has appealed to the people of the country to light an ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. He said the Prime Minister’s core mission has always been ‘Jan Seva Se Desh Seva’ (service to the people is service to the nation), and that he has served the country with this commitment over the past 25 years.

In a video message issued on Monday, Nitin Nabin said that when Modi assumed leadership of the country, India was facing several challenges. He worked to bring about changes in the lives of ordinary people through new policies and welfare schemes. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the country under the Prime Minister’s leadership sought to turn the crisis into an opportunity and demonstrated its capabilities by developing vaccines, thereby contributing to the vision of a self-reliant India.

He said the Modi government has taken several measures to empower young people and women and make them self-reliant. Startups have provided new opportunities for the youth, while initiatives such as the construction of toilets and the Lakhpati Didi scheme have focused on enhancing women’s dignity and economic empowerment.

The BJP president said there has also been a major transformation on the national security front. The influence of Naxalism has been substantially brought under control, while the government has adopted a firm approach towards terrorism as well. He said the country is today in a stronger position than before when it comes to safeguarding its borders.

Nitin Nabin said the country is moving forward with the resolve of ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’ (Developed India @ 2047). He appealed to people to light an ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ in their homes between 6 pm and 7 pm on September 17, Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, and pray for his long life and continued success.
