Bhubaneswar, 14 September (H.S.): Odisha BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Manmohan Samal congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the successful and historic hosting of the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

Extending greetings on behalf of the people of Odisha, Samal said India’s stature and prestige on the global stage had reached new heights under Modi’s visionary leadership and the principles of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and ‘Humanity First’.

Samal said the unanimous adoption of the New Delhi Declaration at the BRICS Summit hosted under India’s chairmanship reflected broad international support for India’s firm stand on global economic issues, climate change and the fight against terrorism.

He said the success of the summit had demonstrated that India was no longer merely a voice of the Global South but was also capable of showing the world a new path towards peace and progress. He described the successful summit as a matter of pride for 1.4 billion Indians.

The Odisha BJP chief also thanked Prime Minister Modi for making Koraput coffee, one of Odisha’s renowned local products, available to delegates and media personnel attending the BRICS Summit. He said the opportunity to showcase a local product from Odisha on such a prestigious global platform was a matter of pride for every Odia.

Samal said Prime Minister Modi had once again demonstrated his special regard for Odisha by providing the state’s local products an opportunity to gain global recognition. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of Odisha’s farmers for promoting the state’s indigenous products on the international stage.
