
The first song, ‘Jai Jai Ram’, from the much-awaited film ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, was released on September 14 on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The film’s trailer had earlier been released in July during the Brahma Muhurta. The song’s video features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. It offers glimpses of their journey from Sita’s swayamvar to their exile in the forest. The song has been released on the official YouTube channel of T-Series.
‘Jai Jai Ram’ has been sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, with music composed by A.R. Rahman. The lyrics have been penned by Dr Kumar Vishwas. Filled with devotional and spiritual fervour, the song offers a glimpse into the film’s narrative and its mythological world. The video also gives audiences an extended first look at Ranbir and Sai Pallavi as Lord Ram and Goddess Sita.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ features an ensemble cast, including Yash, Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles. The film is being mounted on a grand scale and is planned as a two-part epic. The first part of ‘Ramayana’ is scheduled to release in theatres during Diwali 2026.
