Guwahati, 14 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday paid tribute to the rich and diverse literary tradition of Hindi on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, highlighting the language’s deep connection with India’s social and cultural life.

In a social media post, Sarma said the beauty of Hindi lies in its ability to embody different shades of expression, including the fearlessness of Kabir, the devotion of Tulsidas, the sensitivity of Munshi Premchand and the powerful voice of Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.

He said Hindi has continued to evolve with time and has given expression to the changing society, thoughts and lives of the people of India.

“On Hindi Diwas, I salute this vibrant tradition,” Sarma said, underlining the enduring significance of the language and its literary heritage.-----------
