
Gorakhpur, 13 Sept (HS): A review meeting was held on Sunday
in the Annexe Bhawan auditorium under the chairmanship of Minister of Jal
Shakti Vibhag Swatantra Dev Singh regarding the preparations for the 'Seva
Sankalp Abhiyan' to be organised from 17 September to 17 October to mark the
completion of 25 years of public life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the
meeting, the officers of the district administration, public representatives
and BJP officials presented the information about the responsibilities assigned
to them under the Abhiyan before the Minister in-charge. District Magistrate
Deepak Meena presented a detailed outline of the preparations made so far in
the district and the upcoming programmes.
Minister in charge Swatantra Dev Singh said that on the
occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's completion of 25 years of service in
public life, this time giving a more comprehensive form to the Seva Pakhwada in
the state, a month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' will be run from 17 September to
17 October. The aim of the campaign is not only to organize programs, but also
to make the benefits of the government's welfare schemes reach every eligible
and needy person. He said that various service activities ranging from
cleanliness to health, tree plantation, blood donation and public welfare
schemes will be linked to the campaign.
He urged officials and BJP leaders to ensure the campaign is
successful through public participation. Effective program outlines should be
developed at the village, block, tehsil, urban body, and booth levels. Every
segment of society should be informed about which government schemes are
beneficial to them and the process for availing them. To this end, special
emphasis will be placed on ensuring eligible people receive the benefits of the
schemes by organizing camps at various locations.
District Magistrate presents outline of district
preparations: District Magistrate Deepak Meena informed the Minister in charge
that the activities, previously conducted as part of the Seva Pakhwada, will be
extended this time for a month. An action plan for the programs is being
prepared by establishing coordination between all departments at the district
level. The DM and SSP have been appointed nodal officers for the campaign,
while the respective officers have been assigned responsibilities for different
departments and areas.
Special launch on September 17: To mark the launch of the
campaign, various events will be held on September 17th, commemorating Prime
Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Blood donation camps, health camps,
cleanliness drives, and public service activities will be organized. In the
evening, Blessing Lamps will be lit at booths and key locations to
express best wishes and a commitment to service to the Prime Minister.
Mayor Dr. Manglesh Shrivastava, Rural MLA Vipin Singh,
Sahajanwa MLA Pradeep Shukla, Khajani MLA Shriram Chauhan, Pipraich MLA
Mahendra Pal Singh, BJP District President Janardan Tiwari, BJP Metropolitan
President Ramesh Gupta, District Magistrate Deepak Meena, SSP Dr. Kostubh,
officers of various departments and BJP officials were present in the meeting.
