Guwahati, 13 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday paid heartfelt tribute to eminent educationist, litterateur and researcher Dr Maheswar Neog on his death anniversary.

In a social media post, Sarma remembered Neog for his significant contribution to the study and research of the Assamese language, literature and culture. He said the noted scholar’s remarkable research, far-reaching vision and invaluable literary contributions had enriched the intellectual and cultural identity of the Assamese community.
