Agra, 13 Sept (HS): Rajnath Singh, Union Defense Minister,
paid a visit to Agra on Sunday, to attend the Khatik Samaj Garjna Sammelan
as the chief guest at RBS College, Khandari. Rajnath Singh addressed the
conference and commended the Khatik group for their tremendous contributions to
national defense and religious activities stretching back to the Vedic period.
He underlined the need of authentically reconstructing and rewriting the
community's past, notably its courage during the First War of Independence in
1857.
The Khatik community has contributed to national defense and
religion since the Vedic period. He also praised the all-round development work
of Uttar Pradesh. He said that the Khatik community has been playing an
important role in religious work since the Vedic period. This community
dedicated to religion has always been at the forefront in protecting the country.
People who look through the prism of caste cannot understand the basic spirit
of the society. Duties may be different in it, but the goal is to protect the
nation.
There is a need to rewrite the history of the Khatik
community: The community sacrificed everything for independence. Rajnath Singh
said that historians have not written the history of the Khatik community or if
they have written, they have not presented the true contribution. It should be
rewritten. The Khatik community has been at the forefront in protecting India
from any invader. Before independence, they fought bravely against the British
and the community sacrificed everything for independence. Even after
independence, this community is at the forefront in protecting religion and the
country. The Defence Minister said that a Khatik is one who can even frighten
fear.
Rapid development is taking place in UP: The Defense
Minister said that no society should be deprived of education. Literacy
development is being promoted under the BJP government. Development work is
being carried out rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, a network of roads is
being laid, and roads are being constructed from cities to villages. He praised
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for this.
The presence of these people in the society was prominent: On
this occasion, National President of All India Khatik Samaj and Ujjain MP Anil
Firenzia, former MLA of Tundla Shiv Singh Chak, Bulandshahr MP Dr. Bhola Singh,
BJP leader Omprakash Chalni and other leaders were present.
