New Delhi, 13 September (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Sunday for the second and concluding day of the 18th BRICS Summit, being hosted by India under its 2026 chairmanship. The two-day summit is being held on September 12 and 13.

Bharat Mandapam is serving as the main venue for the summit. On the first day, BRICS leaders adopted the New Delhi Declaration by consensus, while Prime Minister Modi also held a significant bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

BRICS continues to strengthen partnerships on priorities of importance to the global community. On Sunday, the heads of state and government are scheduled to participate in the open session, where discussions will focus on the summit's key pillars of resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability.

The session is expected to provide BRICS leaders with an opportunity to exchange views on issues of common interest and advance an inclusive approach to global development. Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with visiting leaders during the second day of the summit.

The discussions on the concluding day are expected to further underline India's efforts to strengthen cooperation among BRICS members and partner countries while promoting a more inclusive and representative approach to global governance.
