New Delhi, 13 September (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit.

Sharing details on X, the Prime Minister said he had a “wonderful conversation” with President el-Sisi. He said the two leaders discussed a range of issues, particularly regional developments and the India-Egypt friendship, which has grown considerably stronger in recent times.

Referring to his meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Modi described it as a highly pleasant interaction. He said the Indonesian President’s warmth, positivity and optimism are always captivating. India and Indonesia, he added, will continue to further strengthen their partnership across various areas.

It is noteworthy that the BRICS Summit is being hosted by India in New Delhi. On the sidelines of the summit, the Prime Minister is meeting leaders of participating countries who have arrived in the capital to attend the gathering.

In a similar vein, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is also holding meetings with his counterparts. On Sunday, he met Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. Jaishankar said on X that the two sides exchanged views on regional and global developments, as well as ways to further advance bilateral cooperation.
