NEW DELHI, September 13 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed his gratitude to all participating countries for their active engagement and valuable contributions during the 18th BRICS Summit. He said the discussions held over the past two days had further strengthened the conviction that BRICS is not merely a grouping of countries, but an ecosystem of solutions.

The Prime Minister said the ‘New Delhi Declaration’ adopted at the summit would provide clear direction to the shared vision and future cooperation among BRICS members. He emphasised that the discussions held and outcomes agreed upon at the BRICS Summit must be translated into time-bound action and tangible impact at the grassroots level.

“BRICS is about to enter its third decade. The world now expects from us not only ideas and commitments, but also concrete results. I am confident that through our collective efforts, we will certainly live up to these expectations,” he said. He also conveyed his best wishes to China as the next host of BRICS.

He stressed that the BRICS framework should not remain confined to files and deliberations, but must translate into tangible change and visible impact on the ground. The Prime Minister said all participating countries would work together to achieve these objectives.

He further noted that the views and suggestions put forward by all participants had contributed to broadening and deepening cooperation. Their presence, he said, reflected the growing relevance, openness and inclusiveness of BRICS.
