Silver Slips by Up to Rs 5,000 per Kilogram Over the Week

NEW DELHI, September 13 (H.S.): The domestic bullion market witnessed a modest upward trend on Sunday, despite the weekly holiday. Following a rise in prices, gold became costlier by Rs 160 to Rs 170 per 10 grams across most bullion markets in the country. Silver also registered a marginal gain of Rs 100 per kilogram.

Following the latest price movement, 24-carat gold traded at levels ranging from Rs 1,54,580 to Rs 1,54,730 per 10 grams in most bullion markets across the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of Rs 1,41,700 to Rs 1,41,850 per 10 grams. With silver registering a marginal rise, the precious metal was trading at Rs 2,45,000 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

On a weekly basis, however, both gold and silver declined amid continued weakness in international markets. During the previous week’s trading, 24-carat gold fell by as much as Rs 220 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold declined by up to Rs 200 per 10 grams. Silver also became cheaper during the week due to weak global cues, with its price falling by as much as Rs 5,000 per kilogram on a weekly basis.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold traded at Rs 1,54,730 per 10 grams on Sunday, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,41,850 per 10 grams. In the country’s financial capital Mumbai, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,580 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,41,700 per 10 grams. Similarly, the retail price of 24-carat gold in Ahmedabad stood at Rs 1,54,630 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,41,750 per 10 grams.

In addition to these major cities, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,54,580 per 10 grams in Chennai, while 22-carat gold was selling at Rs 1,41,700 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold traded at Rs 1,54,580 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,41,700 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,54,630 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was selling at Rs 1,41,750 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,730 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,41,850 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,54,630 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was selling at Rs 1,41,750 per 10 grams. In the Lucknow bullion market, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,730 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,41,850 per 10 grams.

Like bullion markets in other parts of the country, those in Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha also witnessed fluctuations in gold prices on Sunday. In the capitals of these three states — Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar — 24-carat gold traded at Rs 1,54,580 per 10 grams. Likewise, 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,41,700 per 10 grams in the bullion markets of all three cities.
