
New Delhi, September 12 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended greetings to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the people of Israel and the Jewish community across the world on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah. He wished that the New Year would bring peace, hope, good health and continued progress for everyone.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister conveyed his Rosh Hashanah greetings and wished everyone happiness, good health and prosperity. He also shared his greetings in English and Hebrew, in addition to Hindi.
Rosh Hashanah is one of the most important festivals in Judaism and marks the Jewish New Year. It begins on the first day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei. In 2026, Rosh Hashanah is being observed from the evening of September 11 to the evening of September 13. In Jewish tradition, it is also regarded as an anniversary of the creation of the world and a time for introspection and reflection.
