Drawing competitions for classes 5 to 8 and speech competitions for classes 9

Lucknow, 11 Sept (HS): The Uttar Pradesh government has intensified
preparations to make the proposed 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', a campaign of
widespread public participation, to mark the completion of 25 years of public
service by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this sequence, Higher Education
Minister Yogendra Upadhyay, Minister of State for Secondary Education
(Independent Charge) Gulab Devi, Minister of State for Basic Education
(Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh, Minister of State for Higher Education
Rajni Tiwari held a meeting with Additional Chief Secretary Basic and Secondary
Education Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma and Director General School Education
Monika Rani and other officials at their residence in Lucknow and discussed in
detail about the preparations and organization of the campaign.
The meeting emphasized the action plan to connect students, teachers, parents,
and youth with the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan through the Higher
Education, Secondary Education, and Basic Education departments. The campaign
aims to disseminate information about the public welfare work, policy reforms,
and changes in the country undertaken during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25
years of continuous service, and to connect citizens with the collective
national resolve of Developed India 2047.
As part of the campaign, the India of 25 Crore Children's Dreams
program will be held from September 17th to October 7th, 2026. Its objective is
to bring the message of 25 years of service and the vision of a developed India
to every family through the imagination and creative expression of children.
The Secondary Education and Basic Education Departments will serve as nodal
departments for this program, while local district administrations and public
representatives will participate.
Under this initiative, drawing competitions will be held for students in grades
5 through 8 and speech competitions for students in grades 9 through 12 in
every government and private school in the state. Competitions will be
organized from the school and block level to the district level. The best
drawings will be selected and a district-level exhibition will be held, where
local public representatives will be present. This will be followed by a grand
state-level exhibition, in which ministers will also be present.
The Higher Education Department will also play a significant role in the
campaign. Youth dialogue programs will be organized in higher educational
institutions, and youth participation will be ensured through drawing, speech,
and other creative competitions on the theme of Developed India -
Developed Uttar Pradesh. Its objective is to connect students and youth
with the country's development journey and make them aware and participatory of
the national resolve for a developed India. The campaign's action plan mentions
organizing youth dialogues and competitions in higher educational institutions.
The India of 25 Crore Children's Dreams program will not be limited
to schools; it will involve parents, villagers, and the general public. This
will ensure the campaign's message reaches families and society at large
through the creative talents of children.
The best entries received at the school, block, and district levels will be
further showcased at the state level. This process will provide students with an
opportunity to showcase their talents, and through them, efforts will be made
to spread the message of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's 25 years of
service and his commitment to a Developed India 2047 to the masses.
The meeting emphasized that the Higher Education, Secondary Education, and
Basic Education departments should utilize their respective institutional reach
to connect the campaign with widespread public participation. The Basic and
Secondary Education departments will organize student participation,
competitions, and exhibitions at the school level, while the Higher Education
Department will connect youth from higher education institutions with the
campaign through dialogue and creative activities.
On one hand, this will provide a platform to the imagination and creative
talent of primary and secondary level children, while on the other hand,
students and youth of higher educational institutions will be able to share
their role and ideas in building a developed India and a developed Uttar
Pradesh.
In the meeting, special emphasis was laid on effective implementation of the
campaign's activities, departmental coordination and ensuring maximum
participation of students and youth. The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' will be
organised from 17 September to 17 October 2026, in which, through 12 major
programmes, the aim is to take the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra
Modi's 25 years of public service and public welfare works to the people and to
connect every citizen with the collective resolve of 'Developed India 2047'.
