
Lucknow, 11 Sept (HS): In continuation of the efforts of the Uttar Pradesh
Government towards women empowerment and providing employment to the youth,
“Women Special Employment Fair” was organized today in Vivekananda Hall by the
Government Industrial Training Institute, Aliganj, Lucknow. The fair was
inaugurated by Lucknow North MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora. He stated that the government
is committed to empowering women. Initiatives such as the Nari Shakti Vandan
Act, scooties for intermediate-passed girls, and free bus travel for women over
60 are meaningful efforts toward empowerment. He praised Principal Raj Kumar
Yadav, Placement Officer M.A. Khan, and the team.
Principal Raj Kumar Yadav said that the institute is continuously making
efforts to provide employment and apprenticeship opportunities along with
training, due to which Lucknow has been at the first position in placement for
the last several years.
Placement Officer M.A. Khan stated that four prestigious companies
participated in the fair: Hero Motocorp Haridwar, Hindustan Unilever Limited
Sumerpur Hamirpur, Almas Exports and Imports Pvt Ltd Lucknow, and SBI Life
Insurance Lucknow. A total of 725 female candidates participated, of whom 405
qualified. Following the written examination and interview, a total of 175
candidates were selected, including 50 at Hero Motocorp, 50 at HUL, 50 at SBI
Life, and 25 at Almas Exports.
In making the fair a success, special support was provided by Executive
Poonam, Maliha Khatoon, Zillur Rahman, Maqbool Qadir, all the women instructors
and Gray Sim Learning Foundation.
