
Lucknow, 11 Sept (HS): Rain has been falling since Friday morning in several
districts, including the Uttar Pradesh capital. In view of the heavy rainfall,
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to carry out rescue and
relief operations.
Chief Minister Yogi has also taken cognizance of the loss of life, animal
loss and economic loss caused by excessive rain. He has instructed all senior
officers to go to the field. The Chief Minister said that all possible help
should be provided to all the affected families. The officers should
communicate with the affected families and provide all possible help. The loss
of life, animal loss and economic loss caused by excessive rain and lightning
should be assessed and arrangements should be made to provide compensation
within 24 hours. The public should not face any problem due to waterlogging. There
should be no negligence at any level in this.
The Chief Minister also appealed to the people of the state, saying that
during bad weather, there is a possibility of lightning strikes. Therefore,
avoid leaving your homes unnecessarily during this time. During heavy rains,
take special precautions while bathing in rivers and reservoirs.
