
Guwahati, 11 September (HS): An awareness programme on recruitment opportunities for women in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and other employment prospects was organised by the 1st Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sonapur, at Lokhra village on Friday. The programme was conducted by “E” Coy, Lokhra, under the guidance of Commandant Sunil Kaushik.
A total of 22 SSB personnel from “E” Coy, Lokhra, along with around 25–30 local residents, including women, participated in the programme. The participants were provided detailed information about employment opportunities in the CAPFs, the recruitment procedure, eligibility requirements, educational qualifications, physical standards and other important aspects related to selection.
The local women were encouraged to make use of the employment opportunities available in the CAPFs and actively participate in recruitment drives. The programme aimed to enhance awareness among women regarding career opportunities in the security forces and motivate them to contribute to national security and public service.
The 1st Battalion SSB, Sonapur, regularly conducts such outreach programmes to educate and empower local youth and women about employment opportunities and encourage their participation in nation-building activities.
