Campaign to cover all 117 Assembly constituencies; first yatra to be flagged off on September 18Chandigarh, 11 September (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab on Friday announced four statewide “Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatras” under the tagline “Bhajpa Da Naara, Nasha Mukauna Saara” with an aim to mobilise people across all 117 Assembly constituencies and turn the fight against drugs into a mass movement.Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon made the announcement in the presence of National Vice President Manpreet Badal, former state presidents Sunil Jakhar and Ashwani Sharma, State General Secretary and Yatra In-charge Rajesh Bagha, and State Media Head Vineet Joshi.Dhillon said the campaign would highlight three major challenges facing Punjab — drug abuse, deteriorating law and order, and corruption at different levels of governance.He said the yatra was not merely an awareness campaign against drugs, but an effort to protect Punjabiyat, the state’s culture, values and youth from the impact of addiction. He said the drug crisis was affecting families, increasing financial pressure and contributing to crime, violence and gang-related activities.According to Dhillon, BJP National President Nitin Nabin will flag off the first yatra on 18th September from Ekta Sthal, Madhopur, Sujanpur, District Pathankot, and, before concluding at Jalandhar, it will pass through the Assembly Constituencies of Sujanpur, Pathankot, Bhoa, Dina Nagar, Gurdaspur, Qadian, Sri Hargobindpur, Batala, Fatehgarh Churian, Dera Baba Nanak, Ajnala, Raja Sansi, Attari, Amritsar West, Amritsar Central, Amritsar South, Amritsar East, Amritsar North, Majitha, Jandiala, Baba Bakala, Tarn Taran, Khadoor Sahib, Khem Karan, Patti, Ferozepur City, Guru Har Sahai, Ferozepur Rural, Zira, Sultanpur Lodhi, Bholath, Kapurthala, Nakodar, Shahkot and Jalandhar Cantt.

The second Yatra will start by paying obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib on 19th September and, before concluding at Jalandhar, will pass through the Assembly Constituencies of Samrala, Payal, Khanna, Amloh, Fatehgarh Sahib, Bassi Pathana, Dera Bassi, SAS Nagar, Kharar, Chamkaur Sahib, Ropar, Anandpur Sahib, Garhshankar, Chabbewal, Hoshiarpur, Sham Chaurasi, Dasuya, Mukerian, Urmar, Adampur, Balachaur, Nawanshahr, Banga and Phagwara.

The third Yatra will start from Fazilka on 20th September from Sadiqi Border (Asafwala 1971 War Memorial) and, before concluding at Jalandhar, will pass through the Assembly Constituencies of Fazilka, Balluana, Abohar, Jalalabad, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Malout, Gidderbaha, Jaito, Kotkapura, Faridkot, Bagha Purana, Nihal Singh Wala, Dharamkot, Moga, Jagraon, Raikot, Dakha, Malerkotla, Amargadh, Gill, Sahnewal and Ludhiana Urban.

The fourth Yatra will start by paying obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo on 21st September and, before concluding at Jalandhar, will pass through the Assembly Constituencies of Talwandi Sabo, Maur, Rampura Phul, Bhucho Mandi, Bathinda Rural, Bathinda Urban, Mansa, Sardulgarh, Budhlada, Bhadaur, Barnala, Mehal Kalan, Dhuri, Sangrur, Sunam, Dirba, Lehra, Shutrana, Nabha, Patiala Rural, Patiala Urban, Sanaur and Rajpura.
