
Bhubaneswar, 11 September (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has invited investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to partner in the state’s next phase of industrial development, highlighting its natural resources, competitive advantages, port infrastructure, industrial ecosystem and skilled workforce.
Addressing the Odisha Investors’ Summit–UAE 2026 in Dubai, Majhi presented Odisha as an investment-friendly destination and outlined opportunities across several emerging and strategic sectors. Around 400 business leaders, investors and representatives of the UAE business community participated in the summit.
Investment opportunities in areas including LNG storage, green energy, artificial intelligence data centres, rare earths, ship repair, propellant manufacturing, fertilisers and chemicals, housing, steel and downstream industries were discussed during the event.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain highlighted the state government’s approach of “Speed, Certainty and Execution” and assured investors of government support at every stage of project development and implementation.
The roadshow was attended by senior government officials, Indian diplomatic representatives and leading industrialists from the UAE.
The Dubai roadshow is expected to further strengthen economic ties between Odisha and the UAE while opening new avenues for capital investment, technology transfer, industrial expansion and employment generation in the state.
