
Chandigarh, 11 September (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary and Punjab Affairs In-charge Dr. Satish Poonia held a series of meetings in Chandigarh to review preparations for the proposed ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra’.The meetings began at 10 am and continued throughout the day, with discussions focusing on coordination, organisational planning and allocation of responsibilities for the proposed statewide campaign.Dr. Poonia held consultations with senior Punjab BJP leaders, including State President Kewal Singh Dhillon, Dr. Narinder Singh Raina, Manpreet Singh Badal, Sunil Jakhar, Ashwani Sharma and Manthri Srinivasulu.He later met State General Secretaries Anil Sarin, Parminder Brar, Rajnish Dhiman and Jiwan Garg, along with members of the State Yatra Team. The meeting focused on operational arrangements and organisational requirements for the proposed yatra.In the afternoon, Dr. Poonia also held discussions with State Media Head Vineet Joshi, Social Media Head Ajat Arora and State IT Head Kanwar Inderjeet regarding communication, publicity and digital outreach.According to the programme shared by the party, discussions were also held with Rajya Sabha MPs Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak, Satnam Singh Sandhu and Ashok Mittal.Dr. Poonia stressed the need for close coordination, detailed planning and strong organisational preparedness to ensure the campaign reaches people across Punjab.He said the proposed ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra’ should connect with every section of society and effectively communicate the BJP’s message against the growing menace of drugs in the state.
